Navigating the tranquil hub of Mt. Tianzhu in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty introduces players to various merchants and side quests. Among these interactions, a resident Hermit Taoist finds herself locked out of her own home after misplacing her keys across distant battlefield locations. Unlocking her front and back doors grants access to exclusive equipment, upgrade materials, and rare chest rewards.
Finding the Taoist House Key for the Front Door
To begin the quest, speak with the stranded Hermit near the blacksmith in the Hidden Village. She will explain that she dropped her front door key while training on the mountain paths. You can retrieve the Taoist's House Key during the main mission titled In Search of the Immortal Wizard in Part 3.
As you progress near the end of the mission, locate the area right before entering the final boss arena. Search the ground on the left-hand side near a stone lantern and vine-covered statue to pick up the key. Return to the village and speak to the Hermit to open her front door and claim a pair of Bronze Dual Swords inside.
Locating the Taoist Backyard Key
Once the front door is open, the Hermit will confess that she has also lost the key to her back door. This second key is hidden much deeper in the game within Part 7 during the War's Flames Blaze Fiercely sub-battlefield. Players must navigate through the underground drainage channels toward the later stages of the mission.
Look for a flooded chamber featuring four central pillars and multiple aquatic enemies. Head into the first narrow hallway on the left side, where a large spider enemy clings to the wall above. Defeat the target and loot the Taoist's Backyard Key directly off the ground underneath.
Unlocking the Backyard Chests and Rewards
Returning to the Hidden Village with the second key unlocks the back door, revealing three locked chests sitting in the courtyard. To acquire the keys for these chests, you must trade specific everyday items directly with the Hermit. She will ask for a Fire Pot, Anti-Freeze Soil, and a Mystic Crane in exchange for the chest keys.
Opening all three chests rewards you with high-rank Qi Crystals, upgrade materials like Steel and Leather, and high-tier equipment. Beyond the chests, climbing the nearby ledges allows players to leap across mountain spires to collect a hidden Dragon Vein Essence and meet other traveling NPCs.
